• A community is a place where people live work or play.

• A neighbourhood is an area of homes where neighbours live. 

Places found in a neighbourhood are houses, shop, church, play ground etc.

• People who live near our house are our neighbours.

• The people, places and things around our house make up our neighbourhood.

Subject:  Science

Topic:  Forces:  (push and pull)

A force is a push or a pull that can make an object start moving, stop or change direction.

• We push things away from us.

• We pull things towards us.

Subject:  Mathematics

Topic:  Shapes

2D shapes are FLAT. 

Focus shapes:  

square:  4 equal sides and 4 corners

rectangle:  2 long sides and 2 short sides and 4 corners

circle:  round

triangle:  3 sides and 3 corners

3D shapes are SOLID.

Focus shapes:  cube, cuboid, sphere, cone, cylinder

Pat had a cat.  The cat sat in Pat's lap.  Pat's cat can lap.  Pat's cat can nap. Pat's cat had a hat.  The hat is a cap.  Pat's cat can tap the cap.

Pat's cat had a bag.  A bag is a sack.  Pat's cat can pat the sack.  The sack can sag.
